Celebrating his 50th year of singing, Tom appeared in a gala show at Symphony Hall, Boston, on December 28th, 2012. The performance featured Jonathan Edwards, Buskin & Batteau, Dom Flemons, Trevor Veitch, Eric Lillequist, Dean Adrien, Joe Mennonna, Marshall Rosenberg, Paul Guzzone and special guest David Bromberg. The performance was streamed live on the web, and was recorded for special DVD/CD 2-disc set, available now in our store.

For the occasion of his 50th, Tom has also re-released two CDs of earlier work, Tom Rush at the Unicorn (1962) and Live at Symphony Hall (Originally released in 2001). The latter contains selections from the album "New Year Live at Symphony Hall", originally released in 1982, and "Late Night Radio", released in 1984. Both are available in the online store.

New York, NY. (Top 40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - On February 24, 2009, Appleseed Recordings released Tom Rush's first full-length studio album in over thirty years, 'What I Know.' In 1970, Tom was locked up on a trans-Canada private train for a week with the likes of Janis Joplin, the Band, the Grateful Dead, Buddy Guy and more. "Best party I've ever been to - hands down". The recent DVD release "Festival Express", chronicles this infamous tour, with many classic performances including a full-length video of Tom singing "Child's Song." Sadly, the DVD is now out-of-print.

Tom with U2's Bono
When U2 performed on this year's Grammys®, as well as a recent Saturday Night Live, Bono was heard singing a bit of Tom Rush's "No Regrets." U2 has been performing it as part of their song "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own." This version appears in their live sets, and also the live version of the song currently available on iTunes.

Bono talked about it in a Rolling Stone Interview: " 'I don't want you back/We'd only cry again/Say goodbye again' ... that just came into my head on Saturday Night Live. It was the first time I did it. It went through my head, and I sang it."
Tom's wife, Renee (, has appeared on the David Letterman show discussing the paperback release of her book [Shadow Mountain : A Memoir of Wolves, a Woman, and the Wild (Anchor Books)].   You can hear Tom on the DVD Concert Special Judy Collins - Wildflower Festival. Taped at Humphrey's By the Bay in San Diego, Judy is joined by Tom, Arlo Guthrie, and Eric Andersen for a night where each singer shines in their own right and in a collaborative group of folksinging mayhem. DVD EXTRAS includes Commentary by Judy Collins. It is now out-of-print by occasionall available on or other secondary sellers.
